Virginia Tech Shooting
There's also this segment of MSNBC Video (via TMH) in which a student describes the incidents in his classroom. He also describes the assailant as an Asian man in his 20s.
I have two comments. Firstly, the first I read of the incident, the engineering building was mentioned. There was also perfunctory mention of a possible terrorist plot. I wonder if the assailant's rampage is related to something going on within that building, whether it's a professor he had, or some sort of research. Of course, the assailant might not even be a student or other university employee. Conceivably, someone seeking to kill indiscriminately would go to a lounge or cafeteria, or to an off-campus location, like a mall. In other words, perhaps the assailant wanted to kill a certain kind of student or professor, or stop a certain type of class.
Secondly, if police authorities cannot keep a college campus safe, what has America learned since 9/11?
