The Tudors: Sex and Summits

Jonathan Rhys Meyers as King Henry VIIII watched the first episode of The Tudors last night, and I'm excited to see the rest of the season.  The opening story sets the conflict between the humanist "Harry", tutored by Thomas More, and the powerful, debauching King siring a son to secure his throne against Buckingham's plotting. Cardinal Wolsey introduces another side, as the assassination of England's ambassador in Italy by the French gives Wolsey a chance to cobble together the groundwork for a European summit of princes to establish an organization to secure peace and collective security.
