Not That ‘League of Democracies’ Idea

Senator John McCain's foreign policy gravitas gets lighter when he talks about creating yet one more international organization. Not to focus on a neglected niche issue, that is, just to exclude states that are giving the US a headache right now. I believe what James Joyner is looking for is an «alliance», not more bureaucracy. There's no way to dress up exclusion, especially when it's directed at China.

The current alphabet soup of acronyms is annoying enough without another one. Reform, or abolish (like the SCO), an existing one, but let's not create a bad one.

One Disgrace at a Time and Longer Odds Increasing:
- Bal(t)imoron: @Bill: The average layperson is fully aware of the incentives for getting a mortgage. Instead of piling on another incentivizing regulation, this is a one-shot, short-term remedy that would replace the previously failed regulation scheme.
- Bill: 5/3 year term mortgages have been available for decades. Why another government regulation ? I rather include mortages, mortgage calculation etc. included in a compulsory course in primary and junior high when they start to learn percentages.
