Daniel Berrigan on 9/11

The in my home state of Maryland. Tales were thick with loving tributes of the two brothers. Father Daniel Berrigan remains insightful:

"The fall of the towers [on 9/11] was symbolic as well as actual," he adds. "We are bringing ourselves down by a willful blindness that is astonishing."

    • Bal(t)imoron: @Bill: The average layperson is fully aware of the incentives for getting a mortgage. Instead of piling on another incentivizing regulation, this is a one-shot, short-term remedy that would replace the previously failed regulation scheme.
    • Bill: 5/3 year term mortgages have been available for decades. Why another government regulation ? I rather include mortages, mortgage calculation etc. included in a compulsory course in primary and junior high when they start to learn percentages.
