Beijing's Inconvenient Province

North Koreans are just so unacceptable (via NKEW's «China asks some North Koreans to leave ahead of Olympics»)! At least that's what Beijing feels.

«I think both North Korea and China want to keep clear of problems during the games,'' said Lee Young Hwa, professor of developing economies at Kansai University in Osaka, Japan. «Foreign organizations may want to extract information from North Koreans in China or North Koreans may want to contact the foreign media.''

According to Hiroshi Kato, director of the Tokyo-based human rights group Life Fund for North Korean refugees, China is intensifying a crackdown on North Korean refugees near its northeastern border to minimize potential protests during the Olympic games.

Don't leave the Olympic venues, bring oxygen, and don't talk to North Koreans, Tibetans, Uighurs, and Chinese. Got it!
