Crazy about the Rocks
I wanted to avoid another post on the Liancourt Rocks issue, but the pheasant killers got my attention, in a bad way. I'm disgusted by this febrile macho nationalism, or indeed any patently illogical defenses cloaked by pseudo-argument. Or, bad mothers who put nationalism before their kids. It's a controversy, not only between two states, and both with colonial history, but with resource economics and international law. It's also a cynical South Korean political stunt, made all the more transparent by how little press the issue gets in Japan.
And, I can play the Korean wife card, too: it's «bullshit»!
