Beijing, a Magnet for Violence
The Beijing Olympics is attracting anarchists.
A 33-year-old man turned himself in to police here Sunday in relation to a bomb threat that disrupted five Air China flights on Friday, police said.
The man, who said he was of South Korean nationality, was quoted as telling police that he «did it.»
Police will arrest him when they have sufficient evidence to prove his claim, they added.
An e-mail threat was sent to Air China's branch office in Tokyo's Minato Ward around 12:50 p.m. on Friday, the transport ministry said.
The Beijing Olympiad has already eclipsed the 1996 Atlanta Olympics' record for security problems, and this is only the first week.
